Next after Step 2 check to see if you have downloaded unlocker.app if you have not downloaded it yet download it now. If the unlocker.app link above is not working use this one instead here.
Open up unlocker.app on your Mac and plug in your iPhone or iPod Touch running 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 with a clean restore. After that it will check for any problems so you don't get stuck in DFU mode.
Next click Jailbreak! ,and it will jailbreak you i-Device.
Simple as that.
(Note that I use File Dropper for all my files that I upload)
(Also note that I use ZShare for all my files that have a backup download location)
